Olivia Palermo’s Wedding Dress

When the beautiful get married it is important to report it to our loyal subscribers!

Olivia Palermo donned a stunning city chic short dress of the first part of her Bedford New York wedding which was an intimate and private affair.

Olivia married long term partner Johannes Huebl, a German model. She has been with the goregous brunette for the past 6 years and the short engagement which lasted a brief 7 months finally came to an end this weekend.

Olivia released this statement this morning on her website  “We really wanted to keep this beautiful day very private and special to us and enjoyed the whole day with our family and two friends. Bedford is such an amazing and romantic countryside,” She claimed.. and she is right.

Only a few photographs have been released but it is enough to wet our whistle!

The fashionista elegantly wore a three piece set by Carolina Herrera, (one of our favourite Venezuelan designers)

Her wedding day dress included a simple cream cashmere jumper with scattered ostrich feathers and chic white shorts with a full tulle skirt overlay that was cinched in at the waist of a range of satin and silk layers. It also included a high slit at the front alongside floral details along the hem.

Hair and makeup for a wedding should always be subtle and she followed this basic rule opting for a pulled back pony tail with her signature centre part which fits perfectly with the entire look of the day, being simple elegance!

As you can see this is not the traditional large wedding dress and I guess its because its not the traditional church wedding- it is a light and fun day which they wanted to keep simple and the look works.

She accessories her look with a pair of blue Manolo Blahniks and delicate trinkets in the form of stud earrings by Alaxandra Mor.

Johannes keeping to his true dapper style went for a bespoke tailored white Marc Anthony Hamburg suit and a white shirt again keeping to very simple and elegant shapes and themes.

Olivia was just on the May cover of Brides magazines, talking about how she met her now-husband and why it works with them. “Friends set us up, and it just fell right into place,” claims Oliva “We’re a great team. We understand and respect each other, and we make each other better people. It also helps that we both work in fashion and can travel the world together. We get to see the world through each other’s eyes.”
