The Beautiful supermodel and Diva Ms Naomi Campbell is considering her next court appearance after the giant chocolate and confectionary company refused to pull the racially charged ad campaign that compared Ms Campbell to a bar of chocolate.
Campell is accusing Cadbury’s of racism fueled strap line to promote their new bar “Bliss” which stated “move over Naomi there is a new diva in town” Campbell was fuming after hearing the campaign stating “I’m shocked, it is upsetting to be described as chocolate, not just for me, but for all black women and black people, I do not find this funny, it is insulting and hurtful”.
Now owned by US confectionary company Kraft, Cadbury still insisted that they would not pull the advert despite Campbells possible law suit. The supermodel’s mother Valerie Morris also made a statement explaining that “I’m deeply upset by this racist advert. Do these people think they can insult black people and we just take it? This is the 21st century, not the 1950s. Shame on Cadbury”
Other parties have begun to get involved including the campaign group “operation black vote” agreeing with the Campbells protesting that racism can begin in the playground with children calling black children chocolate bar due to the advert. The told CNN “At best, this is insensitive, and at worst it demonstrates Cadbury’s utter disregard for causing offense”.
